Important To Know When Migrating

As part of your account migration there are a few changes you should be aware of:

Added Email Security Authentication

We now authenticate users on both email and phone number. This means you can log in using the email address you select during migration (provided you complete the email verification) This allows us to help keep each account more secure but will also means in the future we will be able to offer integration to other Cloud based sites you may use.

If you are having trouble migrating it may be that your email address was associated with  multiple accounts within the old web platform (MobileWorks). Please make sure that your email is associated with only one SMSGlobal account before migrating.

New Pricing Estimator

Where possible we now offer operator based SMS rates in over 600 countries. You will notice a new estimator in the Store which allow you to select what country you wish to send to and also compare rates per carrier.

Don't worry, it doesn't matter if you don’t know which operator you want to send through - we work all that out when you send. What is important is that when you purchase you are now adding credit to your SMSGlobal balance. This credit can be used for anything we offer: SMS & MMS, Dedicated Numbers, Platform Features and much more.

You are not purchasing SMS at a certain rate, only estimating if you were to send at the time of purchase how much SMS to that destination would cost.  The actual SMS cost is calculated when you send the messages.

Much like our old Mobileworks platform, MXT employs a tier based pricing model, offering you a per-SMS discount if you are purchasing a large amount of messages each month. More information about MXT pricing tiers can be found here.

Sending SMS Cost Display

You will notice within "Send Message" and "Campaigns” we show you what the estimated cost is at the time of send. If you have any concerns or feel that this is not accurate please contact us before sending.

New Reporting

We now offer a much larger suite of reporting, this includes;
  • Heat Map reporting for a graphical representation of your global reach
  • Campaign reporting
  • A/B testing and reporting
  • Outgoing reports based on destination operator

We now have a new Knowledgebase and LiveChat to ensure you can find answers as fast as possible. To access the Knowledgebase from within our new Web Messaging Platform please just press the ? icon at the top right of the page within the platform.
